Workplace Harassment and Bullying Awareness Course
The course aims to raise awareness and develop the skills needed to prevent, identify, and respond to workplace harassment, bullying, and sexual assault.
Bullying and harassment remain serious issues in the maritime sector. Studies show that many victims choose not to report incidents because they fear retaliation or believe their concerns will not be taken seriously or supported. Such behaviour creates a threatening and hostile work environment, leading to harmful consequences such as stress, reduced motivation, lower performance, absenteeism, staff turnover, and increased organizational costs.
In this e-learning course, you will learn:
- What constitutes harassment and bullying in the workplace
- How to recognize whether you are being bullied — or possibly acting as a bully yourself
- What steps to take if you experience bullying or harassment
This training complies with the STCW Code, Standard A-VI/1-4, as amended by Resolution MSC.560(108).
